Intensive Inpatient (Phase 1)
The intensive inpatient treatment program in Jerusalem, Israel, is the first of two phases offered at the AZ House and runs for four months. During this program, residents undergo an intensive treatment process designed to provide a comprehensive and immersive recovery experience. The program is based on the philosophy of providing a chance for a sober life to anyone determined to overcome their addiction, regardless of their ability to pay.
During this four-month phase of our nine-month inpatient program in Israel, residents have limited communication with the outside world, which allows them to focus solely on their recovery and the work they need to do. The program includes support groups, Jerusalem AA meetings, step work with the groups and a sponsor, and learning to cook and clean properly. These activities help the residents attain a healthy schedule, stability, and a sense of responsibility.
The program also emphasizes the importance of connecting strongly to the group of fellows that residents are surrounded by daily. The group dynamic is vital to the program as it allows residents to support and learn from each other. The shared experience of recovery helps to create a sense of camaraderie and understanding, which is essential for the healing process.
Overall, the intensive inpatient treatment program at the AZ House in Jerusalem, Israel, is designed to provide a comprehensive, immersive, and effective recovery experience for residents. The program is based on the philosophy of giving anyone determined to overcome their addiction a chance for a sober life and is tailored to meet each resident's unique needs.
